Rethink believes that the current state of education is ineffective for everyone, but particularly for those who are vulnerable: the poor, cognitively different, or people of color. By investing in early-stage edtech and future of work ventures that tackle the aforementioned inequities, the Fund aims to drive innovation, expand access, and create pathways to equity and economic empowerment for historically marginalized communities. By 2023, 22% of the firm's entire portfolio is led by Black/Latinx CEOs or co-founders. The fund has impacted ~58.8 million learners, and ~13.8 million low-income learners according to 2023 impact reporting.
